He continued to open critical rhetoric during the meeting in Washington compared to Zelenskyy's appearance. The Ukrainian leader has worn a full -black uniform in solidarity with soldiers since the beginning of the war.

“Zelenskyy can wear everything he wants at a time of war,” he said. “It is not due to a goofball to ask what he is wearing. That is absurd. “

Zelenskyy traveled to the White House on Friday to sign a deal that would give the USA access to the Ukraine earth minerals. It was an unfortunate attempt to appease the Trump government, while Ukraine continued to wage a three-year war against Russia and was strongly based on American support.

But after a breathtaking meeting, Ukraine could be about to lose the support of the most powerful ally.

The meeting deteriorated to a tension between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Zelenskyy, which they warned to go too close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The American and Russian officials started peace talks without Ukraine at the table in February, with Trump and Putin having preparations for personal encounter.

Trump insulted Zelenskyy because he was “disrespectful” and then called out the signing of the mineral contract.

“It is astonishing what comes out of emotions, and I have found that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace when America is involved,” said Trump on Friday after the meeting. “He respected the United States of America in his esteemed oval office. He can come back if he is ready for peace. “

The leaders of the Ukrainian-American community in Atlanta described the abrupt end of the meeting and the dismissive treatment of the leadership of Ukraine “alarming signals that endanger the strong partnership between US Ukraine and global stability”.

“A withdrawal from the support of Ukraine would encourage authoritarian regimes, weaken us alliances and create a more dangerous world for Americans,” said Olga Gorman, CEO of non -profit helpukraineus.

Zelenskyy went on social media to address the Oval Office Blowout and thank the United States for its support in the past three years.

“Despite the hard dialogue, we remain strategic partners,” he said on Saturday. “But we have to be honest and directly with each other to really understand our common goals.”

At the same time, Zelenskyy began to meet European leaders, including British Prime Minister Keir Starrer and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to confirm their support. Other allies, including Canada, Australia and France, also renewed their support for Ukraine.

“There is an attacker: Russia. There is a victim: Ukraine, ”said French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday. “We had the right to help Ukraine and the Sanction of Russia three years ago – and continue to do so.”

“Your struggle for democracy, freedom and sovereignty is a struggle that is important for all of us,” said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Canada will continue to be with Ukraine and the Ukrainians to achieve a fair and permanent peace.”

Olekisii Shumskyi, 34, rejected Trump's claim that Zelenskyy was disrespectful in the meeting and said Zelenskyy showed nothing but respect and gratitude for the support of America.

Shumskyi, whose parents and brother are in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, asked Trump and more of America to recognize Russia as an attacker and Ukraine as victims.

“From day to day there are sirens, air strikes, children have to study where there is easy access to buns to be protected from shelling,” he said. “Childhood are ruined. Families are lost. “

He added that America's support for Ukraine was not only relevant for the security and freedom of his people, but also for the Europe.

“Before this meeting, the guarantee was that Europe was protected from a Russian attack,” he said. “But now even European leaders are not sure where the USA are and there are only Ukrainian soldiers who protect Europe from Russia.”

Tom Dilbeck, 57, described Trump's rhetoric “shameful” during the meeting and asked more Americans to remember the America's responsibility for the Budapest memorandum, democracy and freedom.

“The only reason why Ukraine does not have the cards is that Trump is cheating on the cards,” he said.
