Florida defeated by No. 1 in Texas in the last regular season game of 2025

Austin, Tex.-Florida was challenged in his final matchup of the regular 2025 season and fell in 1st place from Texas, 72-46. The Gators remained in the fight against the high -ranking Longhorns, but after Texas had scored 29 points in the third quarter, it was a big task for UF to close the lead in the last 10 minutes of the game.

The gators were led by seniors to score Ra Shaya Kyle With 12 points. Kyle went 4-6 from the field (66.6%) and shot a perfect 4-4 from the free-wing line. Defensive, newcomer Liv McGill led under the basket and secured seven rebounds. McGill also grabbed three steals and distributed four templates, which contributed greatly to both ends of the soil.



How it happened:

In the first:

  • Uf led together five minutes and 19 seconds over Texas
  • The Gators received a total of 17 possessions to convert 0.6 points per property
  • Florida was 4-6 in Layup attempts and changed eight points within the color
  • McGill and Kyle achieved with four points per piece
  • Texas and Florida were knotted on the boards, both got eight rebounds
  • Laila Reynolds (2), Liv McGill (2), Me'arah o'neal (2) and Kenza Salgues (1) were responsible for the eight rebounds from UF
  • The score stood for the Longhorns to complete the first (16-10)

In the second:

  • Florida had his lowest point in the game – eight points posted
  • Warren, Reynolds, Eriny transformedand O'Neal scored two points for the Gator
  • The rebound of Texas almost tripled and secured 15 compared to their six
  • McGill led to defense with four rebounds and theft
  • In the first half, Florida forced 12 sales to the Longhorns
  • Florida was covered with 11 points into the half (29-18)

In the third:

  • McGill scored five points in the first four minutes halfway
  • Six of the 13 points of UF came out of color
  • Florida shot a game of 44.4 percent from the field (4-9)
  • The gators saw the free -wire line eight times and converted five points (62.5%)
  • Texas increased his lead into the end time (54-31)

In the fourth:

  • Jeriah Warren Beat the first and only three-pointer of the game of the game in the first 15 seconds
  • Warren and Kyle led on the offensive and counted four points each
  • The gators went 5-14 from the field to shoot 35.7 percent
  • Gassett led to the boards with three of Floridas 11 rebounds
  • Seven out of UFS 15 points were credited with the bank
  • The Gators distributed three templates in the end time

  • Floridas 46 points mark the lowest point game of the 2024-25 season

  • The Gators exceeded the Longhorns 40-33
  • McGill led to the assist distribution for her 22nd Time as a newcomer with four
  • Kyle was the only gator who met double -digit digits in the goal pillar (12)
  • 22 of the 46 points of UF were rated in the color
  • 15 of Florida's total points were attributed to the bank
  • Kyle shot 100 percent out of the free wire line for the 10TH Time this season
  • Florida forced 11 sales to Texas to convert nine points
  • McGill led as a gator in rebounds for the third time
  • Florida distributed a total of seven templates
  • UF has recorded its highest foul of the season with 29

    • This gave Texas his season high in free attempts (29)

  • Florida's three-point percentage of 0.056 (1-18) marks the lowest of the season
  • McGill led to steal and grabbed 50 percent of the sum of UF with three
  • In 52 out of 122 quarters, the Gators secured more than 20 points this season
  • UF has secured 10 layups on 16 driving tests (63%)
  • Florida held 66 possessions and converted for 0.697 points per property
