NASCAR Cup series at Cota: updates and racing results

The Circuit of the Americas is perhaps not a new route in the Nascar Cup series schedule, but the Grand Prix on Sunday will be fought in a layout on Sunday that the Cup series has never used.

The first four editions of the race in Austin, Texas Road Course, the first of five non-evals in the 2025 calendar, were (planned) 68-round races around the 5.4888 kilometer layout of 20 kilometers. But this year's race is a 95-round race around the 3.701 kilometer layout of 20 kilometers.

The group qualification meeting on Saturday was a time -controlled session, although, unlike previous years, there was no shootout of the second round for the pole position. The starting line -up was simply determined using the round speed, with the drivers being divided into two groups.

Tyler Reddick from 23xi Racing took over the pole position, and teammate Bubba Wallace will join him in the front row to start the race on Sunday.

There are stage fractures in the street races.
