Tonight at the 97th Academy Awards, Wicked Stars and Oscar candidate Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande entered the stage to perform a medley of songs from the world of OZ. Grande started the performance with somewhere over the rainbow before Erivo sang home from Wiz. The two ended with the defiant gravity of Wicked and marked their first live performance from the film since his debut. Take a look at the performance here!

Your performance was officially confirmed last week after rumors that the duo would appear at the award ceremony was officially confirmed. Before the evening, the specific musical selection was kept under closure, but became a medley of songs for the film. Both actors were nominated for Oscars for their appearances in the film as Elphaba or Glinda.

Other performers at the ceremony are Doja Cat, Lisa von Blackpink, Queen Latifah, Raye and a special appearance of the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

The evil film has received 10 Oscar nominations, including the best picture, with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande being nominated for the best actress and best supporting actress. The film was also recognized for the best original score for Stephen Schwartz and John Powell, the best processing, the best production design, the best costume design, the best make -up and the hairdresser, the best sound and the best visual effects.

The film plays Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as a magician, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq and Marissa Bode as Nissarose. The first part was released on November 22, 2024 with Wicked: for to hing theater on November 21, 2025. Wicked: Part One is now available to see at home and will be able to stream on Peacock from March 21st.
