Fire breaks out in the college sleeping hall

Hinds Co., Miss. (WLBT) – The authorities reacted to a fire in a Hinds Community College sleeping hall on Sunday afternoon.

The deputy head of Raymond Fire Department, Andrew Arthur

According to Arthur, hot debris from the roof of the Davis Hall seemed to have fallen into an old, separate dryer ventilation in the building. The debris came from work that was done on the roof.

Arthur says nobody has been hurt and everything is under control.

“Hinds' employees are currently working on getting water out and the fire brigade ends the smoke. In my understanding, as soon as you have done these two missions, they will turn the students back into the building, ”he said.
