Two adults and a child who was sold by York County Fire

The Strinestown Community Fire Company was called to the scene of a fire on the Bremen Road in York County shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Fire chief Frosty Wertz said they had arrived to find out what began as a scale fire that spread to the house and the forest. According to Werz, the fire started with sparks from the house and quickly spread due to the dry soil and windy conditions. “It's ripe for a fire. It just starts immediately and only burns,” said Wertz about the weather. The weather also made it difficult for the crews to fight the flames. Firefighters were on site for three hours and tried to fight with the house fire and the forest fire at the same time. “If we hadn't had the wind, we probably wouldn't have had the forest fire,” said Wertz. “It spread to a hectare of forest land in about half a morning.” With the dry conditions and the warmer weather, Wertz recommends checking the website of your community to determine whether you are under a ban on combustion. The Red Cross takes care of two adults and a child who was driven out by the fire. The cause remains examined.
