Adrien Brody sets impressive record when he defeated Timothée Chalamet with the 2025 Oscars

After Timothée Chalamet won the SAG Awards, it was everyone's assumption whether he would win the best actor at the Oscars or Adrien Brody.

And it turns out that Chalamet had to get along with the SAG price when Brody took the actor home in a leading role for home The brutalist.

Brody's victory means that he is the first actor to win his first two nominations for the actor in a leading role. It also means that he retains the record as the youngest actor in this category.

“Thank you very much for the enormous love that I treated with respect and appreciation from this world and everyone who treated me with respect and appreciation. The acting is a very fragile profession,” he noted.

“It looks very glamorous and in certain moments, but the only thing I have won in the privilege to return here is to have a perspective. No matter where you are in your career, no matter what you have achieved, everything can disappear.

“I think what special does that night that night is the awareness of it and the gratitude that I still have to do the work I love.”

Brody's speech took long enough to play out, but he managed to make her stop the music so that he could thank his parents.

“They created such a strong basis for respect and friendliness and a wonderful spirit and they gave me the strength to realize this dream,” he concluded.

“I am here again to represent the continuing trauma and effects of war and systematic oppression as well as anti -Semitism and racism and others, and I think I pray for a healthier and happier and integrative world.

“If the past can teach us something, it is not to leave hatred deactivated.”

The duo was also impressed against Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes and Sebastian Stan, although it is never likely that one of them could give a big surprise at night.

While the best acting category was in the air, the supportive categories were easier to predict.

As expected, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña won in their respective categories and have completed a price race in which they won at every major award ceremony in the run -up to the Oscars.

This year's Oscars opened with a spectacular performance by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, while James Bond also showed a dramatic homage to musical performances by Blackpinks Lisa, Doja Cat and Raye.
