PNC Field is host of the baseball and softball media day of District 2-Wilkes-Barre Citizens' Voice

Moosic-Wie Brian Jardine from North Pocono sees it, with the game in the entire district 2 and the trainers who grows with the student athletes work continues.

Jardine's mission is to continue to promote it.

For this reason, Jardine put together the baseball and softball media day of District 2 in the PNC Field for the third time in a row. Coach and player had the opportunity to talk about the prospects of their upcoming seasons, with the official start of training for spring sport on Monday.

Also from the hand were several guest speakers, including Mike Marcinek from NEPA FITCLUB, who about achieving her top potential with the training in the season, Tomm Evans, who passed the gross way of thinking in sports and the trainer of Keystone College coach Jamie Shevchik, who spoke about the Making of High School to College-Leichtik.

The day revolved around the Bill Hoerton K Cancer Drive, where teams from all over District 2 Howererton games can hold to collect money in the fight against cancer. The Foundation also distributed scholarship money to baseball and softball players.

“We try to promote our athletes and programs,” said Jardine. “You look around Division 1 and the professional level, we have children out there. This is a strong softball and baseball area. Most spring sports, it is not as if they were basketball or football with a start from 7 p.m. and something to do. You talk about a game at 4:30 p.m. An event like this helps to recognize children and their programs. “

As expected, most coaches played near the chest when it comes to the seasonal predictions. Sure, there are favorites, but nobody wants to be seen as the team to beat.

The general consensus is to be a team that remains under the radar and the teams they play will surprise.

A remarkable chance in baseball when it comes to the Wyoming Valley conference has the Nanticocoke area from Division 1 to Division 2. This will of course be a challenge for Kevin Ward and the Trojans, but one that he and his program are willing to accept and meet.

Dallas has a new softball coach in Dave Buchinski, who has spent several years in local shelves that train American Legion Baseball, as well as baseball of the high school and as a civil servant of Piaa registrations.

With regard to the Herton games, it is due to every single baseball and softball team to determine a game according to its schedule. Gelder can be collected in different ways, depending on how every school wants to approach it.

For those who participate, examples from previous games were sold, days or shirts. Over the years, the foundation has collected over 100,000 US dollars. A senior athlete can receive a scholarship money from the foundation for every team that describes a game for the Herton Foundation. The group has awarded more than 25,000 US dollars of scholarship money.

“We are happy where that went,” said Jardine. “When you look where we started, it was just a Doubleheader in which North Pocono and then the Keystone College played.

“At the moment we are at the point where 67 of the 78 schools in District 2 are here.”
