On Monday (March 3, 2025), the Supreme Court issued an intermediate stay during the investigation against Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator S. Seeman in the “rape” case based on a complaint submitted by an actor.

The Bank, headed by Justice BV Nagatna and also from judge SC Sharma, gave the government of Tamil Nadu and the complainant in an appeal procedure against the case of the Supreme Court of Madras to cancel the rape procedure

Judge Nagathna informed Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan that the appeal has already withdrawn the case, but the Supreme Court had ordered the investigation. He said that the complaint goes back to 2011 and the claim was that the duo was in a “relationship”. The police had woken up after 12 years to start a political witch hunt against Mr. Seeman, he added.

Justice Nagarnna noticed that the allegations should have a closure. Regarding the request of the court as to whether compensation for the woman was examined, Mr. Seeman's lawyers said that she was viewed informally. The APEX court listed the case on May 2.

At the beginning of February 17, the Supreme Court of Madras rejected the petition submitted by Seeman in 2023 to lift the “rape” case and ordered that it should be completed in 12 weeks.

After the command on February 27, the Chennai police inserted the summons on the goal of Seeman's house. Since the lectures were torn by an adjutant, the police arrested a security officer and an adjutant from Mr. Seeman's house, apart from the fact that she confiscated a pistol from the security guard.
