Man killed in accidental shootout

Moses Lake -A 18-year-old man from Moses Lake was killed when he and another man played with a gun late Thursday evening.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 500 block of the North Dale Road, the captain of the police authority of Moses Lake, Jeff Surely, wrote in a press release. The victim was declared dead at the crime scene.

“Detective answered and found that it was a random shootout when the test subjects played with a weapon,” said Sursely.

The second topic was a 22-year-old Moses Lake Man. Neither was identified.

The first rule of weapon security, said Surstely in a separate interview, is that a weapon is a weapon on a weapon.

“Don't point the weapon to something you don't want to destroy,” he said.

People should also remember always to assume that a weapon is loaded and keep their fingers away from the deduction. Firearms should be locked up if they are not used, said Surstely.
