Sonic Unleashed is one of the few entries in the series that is worth officially available on the PC, so the publication of this unofficial port is very welcome. The most defining function of the game, which was not implemented in any subsequent entry in the series, are the Werhog gameplay segments that compared to the daily stages in which a modern Sonic gameplay corresponded and contained concentrated, slower gameplay.

The latest 3D entry in the series is Sonic Frontiers, which was published on PC and consoles in 2022. The Sonic X Shadows Generations Remaster followed the game, which introduced new solid content in a fairly solid Sonic game and one of the best lately.
