Apalachee High School chestball coach who resigned after the mass shooting

The head coach of the Apalachee High School, Mike Hancock, steps back and, after a deadly shootout in September last September, quotes post -traumatic stress disorder, fear, grief and depression.

Hancock announced his resignation on social media and announced that he had worked with a Christian consultant in the past few months.

The shootout at the Apalachee High School called for the life of two students and two teachers, including Hancock's defense coordinator Richard Aspinwall. Teachers Cristina Irimie and the 14-year-old student Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo were also killed.

After the tragedy, the school's soccer team canceled two games and ended the season with a record of 0: 8.

Hancock has been the head coach of Apalachee since 2018.
