Cape briefly commits chip as a football coach

The school district of Cape Henlopen has announced the attitude of Christopher “Chip” as the new head coach of the High School Varsity Football Team.

Knapp has more than 30 years of experience, leadership and passion for the game. Between 1989 and 2021, Knapp served as an offensive coordinator, deputy head coach and head coach of the football program on Wesley College. There he managed all aspects of a top small college football program and continued the series of the program of 15 appearances after the season. In 2021 he joined the Dover High School Football Program, where he was the head coach and a social science/float teacher until January 2024. During his time coaching in Dover, the team led to three winnersaisons and three Diaa State Championship Beths, including an appearance in the 2022 season.

“Coach Knapp has managed successful programs both at the high school and at the college level,” said Cape Superintendent Bob Fulton. “His commitment to excellence and the development of the students perfectly corresponds to the values ​​of our school, and we are confident that he will have a positive effect on our program. We look forward to working with him and seeing our student athletes under his leadership. “
