Hulu cuts Oscars Live Stream

The US streaming service Hulu ended its show during its first live stream of the Oscar awards for on-demand subscribers on March 2 and prompted the audience to miss several important moments and award ceremonies of the ceremony.

The live show should be a landmark for the platform that marked the first time that Hulu offered the Oscars live for its customers, and not exclusively through their live TV level. The error came shortly after the best actor Award when Hulus Stream abruptly set a “thanks” for the message followed by a advertising loop. Several top-class category-almost the best actress, the best director and the best picture have been announced.

The decision of Hulu to expand access to live streaming to its wider on-demand subscribers base was initially excited, which expanded the range of the Oscars beyond the traditional radio boundaries. The Academy Awards in the USA are broadcast on ABC. Streaming alternatives were limited to services such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV or Sling TV. This year's expansion aimed to record younger audiences that affect on-demand platforms, but still appreciates live events.

Speak to diversity On the red carpet of the ceremony, Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos suggested that they will offer future rights to the Oscars.

The ceremony organized by Conan O'Brien saw Anora Win the best picture while Mikey Madison won the best actress (for Anora) and Adrien Brody won the best actor (for The brutalist).
