Driver waves in vehicles, fire fired on the I-95 in Florida

St. Johns County, Fla. -All lanes of the Interstate 95 South near County Road 214 opened shortly before noon after a driver had seen a driver with a weapon and fired shots, which led to a persecution with MPs who ended with an accident in St. John's County, reported news 6 partners WJXT TV.

A woman conquered the moments before the crash and sent WJXT TV a video that shows the driver who was traveling with a red pickup and waved a weapon with vehicles while he ruthlessly drove.

At around 9:30 a.m., the law enforcement authorities received several emergency calls for a driver who showed a firearm on vehicles on the highway. The members of the Florida Highway Patrol Troopers and St. Johns County reacted to the scene according to the reports.

According to SJSO, the MPs tried to stop the suspect, but he fled as he pointed the firearm on several law enforcement officers.

“I am not sure what led him to this behavior beforehand,” said George Harrigan, public information officer of St. John's County.

The suspect finally crashed in a forest area south of State Road 16.

According to MPs, a K9 hired the driver when the MPs tried to take him out of the truck.

He was flown to a trauma center, the MPs said.

A civilian vehicle was affected, but the residents were rated and released at the scene, said SJSO.

Officials said the suspect had been arrested and were charged.

After the crash, the traffic was secured for miles in both directions. All lanes have been open since then, but the traffic slowly moved from 11:46 a.m.

FHP helps with the fall examination. SJSO carries out an investigation to determine what led to the incident.
