UFL, Under Armor extend partnership with the National Coalition of Minorities -Football coaches

Arlington, Texas – March 03, 2025 – The United Football League and Under Armor today announced the expansion of their partnership with the National Coalition of Minority Football coach (NCMFC) for the upcoming UFL season 2025 to expand new opportunities to high school coaches.

This season, the scholarship program will expand its effects by doubling the number to 16 high school trainers -two by each market -to work closely with the United Football League teams.

“The expansion of the partnership between the United Football League and the Under Armor with the national coalition of the minority football coach reflects our joint commitment to promoting the opportunities in the game of football,” said UFL -Executive Vice President Daryl Johnston “Continuation of this scholarship programs that create their skills to build up their abilities and create your skills and provide your skills. “

The program was originally started in 2023 as a pilot initiative under the XFL. The program blossomed in 2024, grew up to all eight UFL markets and created new ways for minority trainers to gain critical experiences in professional football.

This year's list will contain eight coaches who took part in the scholarship last season, together with a new cohort from High -School trainers who are integrated into the daily UFL operations. While the new participants will be on the field and are directly involved in team activities, the fellows of the past year will switch to leadership roles and work with teams in strategy capacities. This dynamic approach ensures that the continuous development for the return of scholarship holders for new high school trainers opens doors in order to gain valuable, practical experience.

The new members of the scholarship program of this year include:

Adriel Fenton – Arlington Renegades

Adriel Fenton is currently a Varsity -defensive assistant and football coordinator of the middle school at the Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas. With more than 25 years of trainer experience at the high school, college and professional, Fenton held the positions of the head coach, the defensive coordinator and the coordinator for special teams.

Most recently, Fenton was the special team coordinator of the Texas Elite Spartans (TES) of the Women's Football Conference (WNFC), which ended as an undefeated WNFC champions in 2023. 2023. Fenton acquired his bachelor's degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and is a certified teacher in Texas for the Grand Prairie Independent School District (ISD).

Jalen Samuel – Birmingham Henungungen

Jalen Samuel comes from Tuscaloosa, ala. Samuel's career began from 2017-19 as a defensive student and video assistant at Troy University. He then drove in Pensacola at the University of West Florida, where he worked as a cornerback trainer and video coordinator for the NCAA Division II National Champions 2019. He has further improved his expertise as a deputy offensive trainer at the University of North Alabama (2020), Tennessee State University (2021) and Mississippi Valley State University (2023).

Samuel's high school experience includes the Gardendale High School in Alabama, where he worked from 2022-23 as a defensive line coach and head coach of athletics. Since 2023 he has also been an offensive coordinator and offensive line -line trainer at the Pleasant Grove High School in Alabama.

Troy Gibson – DC defender

Troy Gibson has 14 years of trainer experience at the High School level in the entire state of Maryland, including four years as head coach. In his second season, he was the first head coach in the history of the Severn Run High School in Severn, Md. Gibson, as head coach at the St. Pauls School in Brooklandville, Md. And offensive coordinator at the Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn.

James Soria – Houston Rougnecks

James Soria is currently head coach of the James Madison High School in Houston, Texas. He was born and grew up in Houston. In 2002 he was a graduate of the Waltrip High School. He then visited Concordia University-Wisconsin in a football scholarship before graduating from the University of Houston, where he received his bachelor's degree in history. His coaching career began in 2006 in the St. Pius X High School in Houston, where in 2009 and 2010 he was part of the back-to-back state (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) Division I. State Championships.

Other coaching stops are the Houston Austin High School, the Texas City High School and finally the Heights High School, where he was the running game coordinator and offensive trainer. Soria is currently the regional director of North Houston of the Hispanic Texas High School Football Coaches Association. He is also a member of the National Coalition of Minority Football coach, the American Football Coaches Association, the Advancement Association and the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association.

CJ Marshallmemphis Showboaten

CJ Marshall comes from Memphis and is a well -known developer of talent in all of Tennessee. After Marshall, 2019, the youngest football coach and sports director in the history of Bolton High School had become the youngest football coach and sports director of Bolton High School, he quickly became one of the hottest young coaches in the city and the state. During his time in Bolton, the wildcats put together a 15:15 record in two seasons and took 8 3-A runner-up both in 2023-24 and region. According to the Tennessee Prep football surveys, number 8 in 3a also ended. Recently he was head coach of the All-Star game 2024 Autozone Liberty Bowl High School.

Terrance Sims – Michigan Panthers

Terrance Sims is the current head coach of the Detroit Loyola High School, where he led the team to the successive playoff appearances, including a district title during the 2024 season. In season fourth in Loyola, Sims is calling to develop profit programs and promote a competitive spirit in his athletes. Before his time there, from 2020 to 23, he worked as a key member of the football employee at Lawrence Tech University and contributed to both running backs and offensive as a Filmanalyst, Scout team coordinator and assistant coach. He also gained valuable experience in the Bradford Academy and the Mumford High School to further refine his leadership and tactical skills.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Sims acts as head coach of the Detroit Ravens Semi Pro Football Team, which has an impressive record of six national titles and eight league championships.

Jonathan Batson – San Antonio Brahmas

Jonathan Batson, graduate of the Judson High School in San Antonio and Texas A&M University, began his coaching career in 2010. Over the years, Batson has worked as a special education, physical education and health teachers and gained valuable experience that students look after both in the classroom and in the field. He is currently a defensive coordinator and head coach at the Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas.

Sean Nevills – St. Louis Battlehawks

Sean Nevills is a product of North County St. Louis and has more than 16 years of experience in coaching football. He is currently acting as a special team coordinator and running backs trainer at the Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. Neville 'Coaching Journey started as a student coach and assistant at Missouri State University. After graduating, he began his high school trainer career with stops at the Battle High School in Columbia, the Capital City High School in Jefferson City and the Hallsville High School over a period of 10 years.

Nevills was an assistant coach of the Missouri State Champion Battle High School Team 2014. He returned to Springfield in 2016 to become head coach of the Central High School, where he worked for three years. In addition, he worked for two seasons as a co -trainer and offensive coordinator for the Springfield Wolfpack of the former American Professional Football League.
