Firefighters in Portland react to fire and crash on Sunday

Firefighters reacted to the second alarm at around 7:50 p.m. and then around 9:15 p.m.

Portland, Maine – The fire brigade of Portland reacted to a second alarm fire at 6 and 6 in CT. Sunday evening.

According to a press release, which was sent by the fire brigade from Portland on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters found a person outside the building when they arrived. According to firefighters, the person had been removed from the building by a spectator. Firefighters searched the building and ensured that everyone else was outside.

One person and a spectator were rated on site and brought to local hospitals. There were no further injuries for residents or firefighters, officials said.

“The fire brigade task in all-hands was hit on arrival, and at 7:52 p.m. a second alarm was met when strong fire spread through the building with partial collapse in the sections of the building,” the press release said.

The fire was considered under control around 9 p.m. The last fire brigade dropped out the scene around 11:50 p.m., said firefighters.

The cause of the fire remains examined.

While firefighters were in front of the fire of the all-hand fire, the department was also appointed to a separate incident in the Forest Ave. To react near the Walton St., where a man was hit by two different cars. Firefighters who answered had to “work through an extensive, complicated liberation of the pedestrian before transporting them to the Mainical Center,” the press release said.

The man who was hit, a 57-year-old from Portland, died of his injuries, according to the Portland police. They continue to examine exactly what happened. The police have not identified anyone and they have not charged any charges.
