Arrested in fatal retaliation in Springhill

Springhill, La. (KSLA) – A teenager is in custody for a fatal shootout that took place on Saturday, March 1st, in the Springhill.

The head of the Springhill police says that everything dropped in a house in a house in the 300 block of the 3RD Street around 11:30 p.m. This is located in a neighborhood directly behind the Schweinwigly in the S Main Street.

The victim, Norman Evans Jr., who was in the fifties, was in the house when he was shot in the back of the head and died. The police say that the person who fired the fatal shot was outside the house at that time. This person was identified as Darrion Reese, 17.

Reese was arrested on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m., says the boss. He is charged with homicide and his bond was set at 250,000 US dollars.

The boss says that Evans' son earlier in Reese on Saturday, but did not hit him. Instead of reporting the incident of the police, the boss says that Reese has accepted it. However, the police did not believe that Reese had intended to kill someone, but tried to scare the son.
