After her arrest, Rosen was quickly banished from the campus, and after she was guilty of four charges for fourth degree, disordered behavior and public poisoning, she was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Rosing was put into protective custody in the Fayette County detention center – which means that it was separated from the general prison population – because of fears that she was exposed to retaliation from other inmates because of its behavior.

Her lawyer, Fred Peters, previously told the Lexington Herald Leader, he found the sentence “excess”.

“What she said was terrible,” said Peters. “She got into a dispute with the employee and bitten people on hand. [but] I think she did not deserve a prison sentence of 12 months about the first crime in her life. “
