Gasleck closes us 401 in ten roads in Fuquay-Varina

Fuquay-Varina, NC (WNCN) -The US 401 (Fayetteeville Road), according to officials, was closed in ten Road in Fuquay-Varina on Monday afternoon.

The officials of the city of Fuquay-Varina announced the closure at 4:22 p.m.

According to Enbridge Gas (formerly Dominion), the gas leak was caused by damage to third parties. An eight-inch gas line was hit.

Expect strong delays in the area because traffic in the streets of Fayetteeville, Ten Ten and Lake Wheeler is supported by the closure. The city of Garner also warns the residents of the traffic delays.

According to the city, first aiders and the gas company are on site to complete repairs. Officials ask the drivers to use an alternative route and avoid the area if possible.

The estimated reopening was set by the North Carolina Ministry of Transport at 6:16 a.m.
