From Tuesday, Canada will impose 25% tariffs at $ 155 billion ($ 107 billion) when the administration of US President Donald Trump takes through with his planned tariffs for Canadian goods, said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday.

From Tuesday, Canada will hit 25% tariffs on US goods worth $ 30 billion, while the tariffs for the remaining $ 125 billion will come into force in 21 days, said Trudeau in an explanation.

“Our tariffs remain until the US trade lawsuit are withdrawn. If US tariffs do not stop, we are in active and ongoing discussions with provinces and territories to pursue several non-tariff measures,” added Trudeau.
