Cape CAD COD Police Academy leader on vacation in the middle of misconduct examinations – NBC Boston

Two leaders of a police academy on Cape Cod were suspended under an investigation of the allegations of misconduct, the officials of Massachusetts said on Monday.

The city police training committee began “alleged incidents of misconduct” by employees and trainers from East Falmouth Police Academy on Wednesday, the leaders said in a letter.

On Thursday, all employee instructors were temporarily removed from their positions at the academy. These roles are “filled with employees from another MPTC academy to minimize any disturbance of the student official's timeline”.

The director and coordinator of the academy were suspended under the investigations.

The committee, part of the executive office for public security and security of Massachusetts, did not give any details of the nature of the allegations.

“The MPTC is committed to maintaining the highest standards for integrity, accountability and professionalism for our employees and student officials. Our mission is to offer a training environment that promotes respect, fairness and excellence in law enforcement, and we will continue to take all the necessary steps to ensure our academies,” said the letter from the MPTC -Executive Director, said Rick Rathbun and Deputy -Director -Director. “We take all the allegations of misconduct seriously and fully commit ourselves to a thorough and impartial examination. Any form of harassment, harassment or misconduct is clearly unacceptable and contradicts our basic values ​​for integrity, respect and professionalism.”
