What is in this semester in the Cyclone Cinema schedule? – daily of the state iowa

The Cyclone Cinema, which is organized by the Student Union Board (SUB), is an event that shows free films in room 101 by Carver Hall every week. The performances usually start at 7 p.m. and run from Thursday evening to Sunday evening, whereby Open Caption Screenings is available on Sundays. Concessions are also offered for sale outside of the room, including drinks, popcorn and sweets.

Tamia Brown, a study of human development and family examinations in the second year, is one of the directors who are responsible for the cyclone cinema. Brown started her participation with SUB by voluntarily reporting her time for the events, be it stacked chairs or two hours. She also worked as a co-director of multicultural and sensitization in the Sub Executive Board.

Brown works as a director with Spencer Lamar with the Cyclone Cinema co-director to plan the film plan of the semester. According to Brown and Lamar, “Take a look at what films will soon publish, try to find out when it will be available for streaming, and then work with programs to buy the rights for displaying the films.” The Cyclone Cinema tries to offer free demonstrations of popular films before debut about streaming services.

Brown explained that she loves to lead the cyclone cinema because she reacts from the audience.

Brown announced that her favorite memory during his work as Cyclone Cinema's co-director in February saw the idea of ​​”We Live in Time”.
