Gerald Almy: Tips for the success of the early season Nvdaily

Wels, solarfish, trout strap, crappies, stripers, pikeperch, small men … a wealth of Gamefish anglers, and early spring is a great time to pursue them.

Rarely are the fishermen who concentrate on one of these fish, excluding everyone else. Some anglers even make their day a challenge by trying several species during a single excursion. In order to help with the aim of catching a large number of Gamefish, there is a deal with tips and tactics that are specifically focused on the challenges of the early season's challenges.

At no other time fish are as hungry as now, and as a bonus, early spring is the best time of the year to catch a copy of the trophy size.

Panfish

Yellow perch are great fish for the early season excursions because they bite well if the water temperatures are only in the 40s and 50s. The best offers are either small crabs or living Minnow. You can use split-shot for weight or rig-drip hooks that are tied to 12 and 24 inches above a 1-2-vertical bell sinker. Concentrate on rocky dots, bars, humps and sewer edges in lakes, deep pools and backwater vertebrae in rivers.

pike

Pike are often viewed as fish made of flat, wild water. But at the beginning of the season you will find them in deep areas, often along dropouts and points that protrude into the main lake or the river channel. There they owe up before going into thin water to spawn. This water can be up to 20 or 30 feet. A Minnow or template with a plastic trailer is an excellent offer in this situation. You can also use a heavy spoon like the Dredevel, throw it out and let it sink near the floor before pumping it back with an irregular, fluttering access. Be ready. Strikes on these spoons can be violent.

Vertical jigging

Working for a variety of Gamefish is one of the conductive cold water tactics for a variety of Gamefish. Trout, stripper, small men, crappies and white bass can be trapped by a quarter to 2 ounces by vertical jigging panel spoons. Concentrate on deep water racks such as the undertaking islands, humpback, bridge piles, deep dots and river channel waste.

Find your target species or bait fish like shadows on the depth finder, lower the hammering metal spoon to this level or something above and then work with sharp lifts of the bar. If you drop the spoon, lower the rod tip quickly enough so that the bait falls free, but without excessive, in the line forms in the line. Most strikes will come when the bait flows like a wounded shadow.

bass

Very early in the season, bass is concentrated on the deep water structure, in which a slowly cried template or a living Minnow can work miracles. As soon as you move flat, you are more distributed and a quick -moving search bait is best. Spinnerbaits, crank baits, Minnow plugs and lipsless crank baits are the top selection. Hold your electric motor quickly and comb as much flat water as possible.

trout

Try a drop-fly rig for trout flows. In this way you can work two patterns and examine several depths at the same time. To equip a few moist flying or nymphs, let a fresh tipet section in the tips and leave the day of blood node extra long. Attach a fly on this day and the other at the end of your tip so that the flies are about 12 to 24 inches apart. Another rigging method is to bind a fly to the leader and then attach a 12-18-inch length of the tip to the eyelet of the first fly and another fly to the end. You can also use a dry fly on a section of the guide and a small nymph has positioned one or two foot underneath.

structure

Points are top locations for early season fish. Bass, pikeperch, crappies, stripers and other Gamefish use these places as travel routes from deeper to flat water and find excellent places to arrange at bait fishing schools. However, do not fish these areas by chance. Require systematic. First fish the depth surrounding water on both sides of the point and move flat until you have divided your casts over the entire point. The fish could be near this structure during spring, depending on the weather, barometer, water temperature and other factors.

Fishing apartments

Here is a strategy for those who are lucky enough to visit a southern florida or tropical goal with apartments. If you recognize a Bonefish or permission on the apartments in cold spring weather, it will probably be hideous. Wait until the fish bothers the water while it grabs a shrimp or a crab before you deliver your line -up. When the fish tear off the surface, it is less likely to reach the sound of a bait, fly or bait into the water.
