Jersey Shore – Two men were temporarily driven out on Monday afternoon when embers were on fire from a bunch captured by the wind outdoors into the west side of their house in the 247 locust St. in Brand official.

According to Ethan Goodbrod, head of the Citizens Hose Company, nobody was injured when the fire broke out around 1 p.m.

Lycoming Regional Police Sgt. Brian Fioretti was the first to arrive on site.

“There was a lot of black smoke that rolled out of the side of the house,” said Fioretti.

It turned out that a large part of the smoke came from a bunch of debris that burned one of the residents, said firefighters.

The embers from the fire spread to a brush and then the fire quickly spread to the side of the house. However, the flames were deleted before a lot of interior damage was caused, said Goodbrod. The damage was less than 10,000 US dollars.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross supported the displaced tenants.

In addition to the two fire brigade companies of the district, firefighters from Antes Fort, Avis, Woodward Township and Old Lycoming Township reacted to the scene.
