Three US -Twitch streamers say that they are grateful to be unharmed after a man threatened to kill them during a live stream.

Cinna, Valkyrae and Emiru, who have millions of supporters between them, had taken part in a one -week marathon current in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

A man who imagined Russell appeared in his stream from Pacific Park, Santa Monica, and reappeared about half an hour later and said: “I will kill you now” when Emiru refused to share her contact details.

Valkyrae, real name Rachell Marie Hofstetter, said they had spoken to the Santa Monica police, who confirmed that the reports about a person had made threatening statements.

Cinna, real name Brittany Lynn Watts, has 500,000 followers on Twitch and was recognized as the best female streamer at the streamers last year.

In a follow -up stream on Monday, they and Valkyrae became emotional when they talked about what happened.

“It is shit that a marathon that should highlight female streamers unfortunately ends up on one of the worst things that can happen to a female streamer,” said Cinna.

“We are very grateful that it was not injured with one of us.”

In the stream on Sunday, a man was seen, as he Emiru, the right name Emily Schunk, asked for her phone number after the three streamers picked up a ride on the fairground.

When she says she doesn't have her phone, he suggests entering her number in his number, but she replies: “I don't know how to use a phone, I'm sorry.”

“I will just follow her,” he says as an answer.

The streamers then go away, pull their hoods up and put sunglasses while waiting for food before discovering the man again seconds later.

Then he chases the women and says “I will kill you now” while they scream, run away and call for security.

A police spokesman for Santa Monica informed the BBC Newsbeat official, accompanied the streamers from the pier and carried out a search for the suspect.

However, they said they couldn't have found him.

“We are aware of video film material that circulate online in connection with the incident and checked the information that was publicly shared,” added the spokesman.

Valkyrae said the women were okay, but “in shock”.

On Monday, Cinna said a clip from the stream that was widespread, “he does not do justice to how scary it was”.

“It is an attempt in our lives and we take it very seriously.

“He said he would kill us, he kept trying to get something out of his pocket. We had to push into a shop that screamed that someone would kill us.”

Valkyrae, who has 3.4 -m -followers on Instagram, hopes that it is “learning for other streamers”.

“It only needs one person, so be careful.”

When she was published on X, she also said that what happened, the “hard reality, in which women live” and were met with online comments that they were staged to drive hits.

“Seeing reports that accuse my friends and I, to pretend and accuse myself instead of questioning the behavior of the man was embarrassing.

“I learned that it doesn't matter how much I can achieve in this industry or how much I try to gain respect. Some men will hate women and accuse women, regardless of the situation.”

Emiru did not appear in the follow-up stream on Monday, but then published it on X.

“I wish I could say that this was a kind of incident with one million, but the truth is that it is not,” she said. “This is how life is for girls.

“I hope, if at all, see what happened and realize how much it is a reality for women and content creators overall.”
