KDKA TV morning forecast (3/4)

03:01

It will be a spring day in the Pittsburgh region in the Pittsburgh area today before it will move through the region tomorrow.

Any watchful days ahead of us? Wednesday is a first watchful weather day due to storm chances together with just a business weather day. Fast moving storms are the biggest concern. There is also a 'low' tornado risk.

Consciously: Today's record is 74 °

Today we saw a few isolated showers and even a snow along a warm front that lives through this morning. Expect mainly cloudy sky this morning with broken partly cloudy sky this afternoon. The temperatures have remained almost 40 degrees overnight. The temperatures in the 50s should be until noon. I have a high temperature of 65 °.

When it comes to tomorrow, the Storm Prediction Center has currently painted us in the border risk for severe storms. Places along the east coast will find the highest risk of storms on Wednesday. Today there is a significant threat to places in the deep south, including the city of New Orleans, which enjoys carnival celebrations. Parts of Arkansas & Mississippi are also emphasized as the “enhanced” risk -risk of the day.

The reason for the stormy conditions in parts of the country is a strong upper low, which is currently (4: 00A) around Denver, Colorado. There are active heavy thunderstorms and even a tornado warning for parts of Texas shortly before the cold front.

Back to us, rain shower begins long before sunrise with constant rain, which is expected most of the morning. The temperatures remain very warm for this season. I have over night temperatures in the middle to the upper 40s. The consistent rain will end around noon. The afternoon will be windy with some sunshine. At the moment it looks as if only a round of storms should be expected around 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., this could certainly change.

On Wednesday at 11 p.m. we should see how the 540 -snow line gets through, while the upper low is moving directly to us. We should see how the rain moves to the snow pretty quickly when the temperatures drop and pick up the winds.

It will probably continue to snow over the night. It seems that the temperatures will be a bit too warm to make the area widespread.
