Gaseck causes heavy traffic on the most important A-Straße

A leak in a gas line required an emergency room on the A350 on Monday and Tuesday (March 4), which led to heavy traffic and delays.

The leak was treated by the engineers of Wales and West, the alarm that temporary traffic lights were built near Melksham had been reported on Monday around 4 p.m., which led to traffic and delays.

A spokesman for Wales and West Utilities explained that the leak was not serious and that engineers had managed to solve the problem quickly.

On Tuesday morning, the interactive map of AA Traffic News showed heavy traffic on a long route of the A350 south of Beanacre.

The traffic tickets this morning showed a strong traffic building along the A350. (Image: the aa) Ryan Horton, Wales & West Utilities Gas Emergency Service Manager for Wiltshire said: “We worked in the A350 area Beanacre to repair a leak on a gas pipe next to the street.

“In accordance with the Wiltshire Council and to protect the local community, road users and our colleagues during the work, the traffic lights were available near their intersection with the old street.

“Our engineers worked as soon as possible and now repaired the leak. We filled the holes that we dug and give the new surface time to set.

“Apart from unforeseen circumstances, we will remove our traffic lights this afternoon (March 4).

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of the residents and street users while we have carried out this essential repair.”
