Too early? No! Here are football players in the region five times in 2025-Shaw Local

While the 2025 class will take many of the best preparatory football players in the region in spring, there are many proven competitors who can return to the field in autumn and make their traces on the field.

Here are five of our very early assumptions in terms of players in the region that you should watch when the 2025 season arrives.

Grant Dose, Marquette Academy

Class: 2026

Position: RB/LB

The leading rusher of the Crusaders in 2024 with 854 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns could be for big things in his senior campaign under the new head coach Ken Carlson, both on the offensive and in defense, where he was the leading tackler of the team and the co-defensive player of the Chicagoland Prair Conference of the year.

Leelynd Durbin, Flanagan-Cornell/Woodland

Class: 2026

Position: RB/LB/KR

Like the dose, Durbin performed in a role in a core of both the FCW offensive and defense in a role in a role in a role.
