Experts discuss normal pet behavior and when to seek professional help

Delmarva – A new fury friend brings home an adaptation time for everyone.

Mike Kaviani with the brandywine Valley SPCA says that there are many things that work through new pet owners. A new environment can be difficult for a cat or a dog, and he says that one of the most common early behavioral problems occurs when pets are put in situations for which they are not ready too quickly, e.g.

“If you have a cat at home, keep it separated. If you have another dog at home, make short sweet interactions with you and do not throw a few other unknown animals on you. “

If you teach you what a toy is and where you should go to the toilet, you can suppress other frequently occurring behavioral problems.

If your pet has behaviors that affect your or her life, says Kaviani that it is best to look for professional help. For example, fear seems to improve, especially if your pet is left alone.

But every situation is different, and Kaviani says that it is really up to them and whether they feel that their pet needs additional attention.

“Ultimately, it is, what do you have to fight with? What is the behavior you see that causes concern? Is it something that you can manage fairly easily, or is it something that you are so generalized or predominant in your life that you have to find training to solve it. ”
