Service disorder as a result of vandalism – Digicel

Kingston, Jamaica – the telecommunications provider Digicel says that the failure, which affects its customers on Tuesday, is due to deliberate damage.

“An act of vandalism, in which fiber cables were deliberately reduced, has been confirmed and currently has an impact on both residential and business services for digicel customers,” said the company early Tuesday.

In addition, the company announced that its customer service system has dropped and that it encourages customers to stay up to date via social media channels, WhatsApp and SMS.

“Our technical teams work tirelessly to restore the services as soon as possible. We deeply regret the inconvenience that caused this and understand how critical these services are for them, ”said Digicel in a press release.
