'Blended' travel an emerging travel trend

The Modern Campground and Cairn Consulting Group presented their latest collaborative report entitled “Blended Travel: Embracing Shortfry Stay”. The report states that Blended Travel – the integration of different travel styles and accommodation opportunities – has become outdoor outdoors outdoors.

According to the study in February 2025, seven out of ten travelers (70%) now combine various accommodations such as campsites, motorhome parks, glamping resorts, hotels and short-term rentals within a single trip.

This essential shift underlines a critical need for campsites, motorhome parks and glamping goals in order to position itself prominently during the modern campsite during the traveling planning phases.

“This shift towards Blended Travel is a fundamental change in traveling behavior, the redesign of expectations and the creation of new opportunities for hospitality outdoors,” said Scott Bahr, President of Cairn Consulting Group.

“Our research results show that travelers today not only select a single type of accommodation or travel style. Instead, they are looking for unique and varied experiences that mix seamlessly and often expand their stays due to the flexibility of long -distance work. Outdoor providers must recognize this trend and actively market themselves as essential parts of these multifaceted trips. “

In the report, distant work is identified as an important driver of this blended travel trend and encouraged the guests to transform traditional short weekend trips into one -week adventure.
