Trump threatens to meet Canada's retaliation tariffs

The tariff fight between the United States and Canada could turn into a feedback loop when President Donald Trump follows a new threat to another round of retaliation against the northern country.

The United States met with 25% tariffs Canada on Tuesday morning. Afterwards, the Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau announced that his country would impose 25% retaliation tariffs that returned in the other direction. But Trump threatened on Tuesday afternoon that new import duties could go back to Canada.

“Please explain governor Trudeau from Canada that our mutual tariff, if he uses a retribution set for the USA, will increase immediately by a similar amount!” Trump posted socially through the truth.

In such a scenario, the tariffs imposed by both countries would increase in steps of 25% until one or the other game had enough play. Trump's retribution tariff could come into force on April 2.

Trump said on the campaign path that “tariff” is the most beautiful word in the dictionary and has promised tariffs in Canada and Mexico since the office.

He seemed to follow until Tuesday morning when 25% import duties were raised on products that came from these countries, both of whom have a long border with the USA

Canadian retaliation tariffs for US dollars of US $ 155 billion came into force on Tuesday at 12:01 p.m.

In a statement, Trudeau insisted that “there is no justification for these actions” and added that his government took several steps to stop the flow of fentanyl to the US Trump, he had implemented tariffs to stop the flow of fentanyl across the southern and northern borders.

Trudeau hopes that Trump will return.

“Our tariffs remain until the US trade lawsuit take place, and we should not stop, we are in active and ongoing discussions with provinces and areas to take several non-tariff measures,” he said. “While we are calling for the US administration to rethink their tariffs, Canada remains firm for our economy, our jobs, our workers and for a fair business.”

Trump, on the other hand, knows that the massive size of the US economy means that his northern neighbor has more to lose in the fight. It has complained about high tariffs for years, such as a 270% whey imposed by Canada, which the United States refused.

However, the fight could have massive effects on companies and consumers around the world.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by more than 600 points on Monday after Trump confirmed that the new tariffs were coming. He is expected to address the problem on Tuesday evening during his joint address to the congress.
