Lakemoor Shooting: Ryan J. Piezonka Ident shot as a man, killed by father James, on Rand Road, says the police, the police say

Lakemoor, Ill. (WLS) – The 31-year-old man, who was allegedly shot and killed by his father in the northern suburbs at the weekend, was identified.

Ryan J. Piezonka from Lakemoor was fatally shot on Sunday in the 100-block Rand Road shortly after 1:20 p.m., said the Lakemoor police.

The police said he was on the street in the area.

The 64-year-old James Piezonka, who lives in the 100 block of the Rand Road, was taken on site, the police said.

He was charged with murdered first degree, a severe discharge of a firearm, a tightened home battery and the possession of a firearm

Police and court records said James Piezonka shot his son Ryan five times.

The two lived together in the 100-block the Rand Road.

It is not clear what has led to the shootout.
