Eagles' Saquon Barkley Sign Charge Treaty after the Super Bowl Run

It's good to be Saquon Barkley.

Three weeks after winning his first Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Back Running Back, has signed an extension of two years by $ 42.1 million with the team, whereby $ 36 million is guaranteed money in signing.

The Eagles rewarded Barkley by making him the first edge of the NFL to earn more than 20 million US dollars a year. It makes him the best paid return of the league and surpasses San Francisco, who runs back Christian McCaffery. Barkley still has the option of gaining additional cash of $ 15 million through incentives and escalators.

The new contract also signed flexibility for the Eagles within the same league year as its previous – a rarity, especially for running backs. Barkley was previously set for a goal of 13.5 million US dollars in 2025, which has now been reduced to $ 6.8 million in almost two halves.

Barkley, one of the most popular players in the league, signed a unique contract with Philadelphia in the last low season, in which all incentive bonuses he had picked up during the 2024 season were added to his basic salary in 2025 as a roller.

The 28-year-old met several points in the 2024 season: $ 1 million for an All-Pro First Team selection, $ 500,000 for crossing the sacred 2,000 rushing yard benchmark, $ 250,000 for the production of Pro Bowl, $ 250,000 for winning the NFC championship and a further $ 250,000 for the profit of the great Bowl.

If he made every incentive for the original three-year contract, Barkley should earn more than $ 46 million.

Former Star Penn Star Rusher had a historic first season with the Eagles, the 2,504 yards for the Rushing record of Terrell Davis (including the playoffs) of 2,476 yards in 1998. Barkley had the chance to break Eric Dickerson's regular season record, but from the regular season finale of Eagles from the regular season finale.

Barkley came to the Eagles after spending his first six seasons with the rival New York Giants, who had designed him in 2018 and signed him for a four-year rookie contract with $ 31.2 million. In 2023, the Giants placed him the non-exclusive franchise day for a $ 10.1 million content, including a signature bonus of $ 2 million.

The lack of a long-term deal frustrates Barkley, who prompted him to leave New York in the free agency and to create some shame for the Giants in the first season of the HBO series from HBOS Offseason series for The Hard Knocks franchise.
