Two arrested after he stabbed and shot in Laredo

Laredo, Tex. (KGNS) – Two men are in custody after a jump -off and shoot in Laredo, the police said.

Monday evening, March 3, around 10:00 p.m., the Laredo police authority replied to a call about a stab in the 3000 block of the San Eduardo Ave.

When the officials arrived, they found that several people had been involved in a fight and fired shots. The police later identified one of the men as Jorge Diaz Jr., 21, who had gunshot wounds, but his injuries were not life -threatening.

The police said the investigation showed that Diaz Jr. tried to lower the tires of a car of Allaa Alejandro Briones, 23. According to the police, when Briones Diaz confronted Jr., he showed a knife. Briones then pulled out a gun. A third person stepped between the two, but Diaz Jr. and stabbed Briones twice in the shoulder and chest.

The police said Briones followed Diaz Jr. and shot on him and hit him. The third person took the Briones gun and left the scene.

According to the police, both Briones and Diaz Jr. were treated in the hospital and then interviewed by detectives. After being released from the hospital, they were arrested and taken to the webb County prison.

  • Briones was charged with a fatal weapon because of serious physical injury.
  • Diaz Jr. was charged with a fatal weapon and a criminal nonsense for serious physical injury.

The police said that further arrests are expected in the course of the investigation.
