Dan Jackson, head coach of the state of South Dakota, has two important administrative positions for Football Support employees of the Jackrabbits with the Hirings of Tyler Wreces as General Manager and Ethan Beisner as director of operations.

The tasks of Wrice as General Manager include squad and scholarship management, support in the activities of names, image and similarity (NIL) and as a connection to athletics and university administration.

“I am very happy to have Tyler as the first general manager of the state of South Dakota on board,” said Jackson. “He is very organized, really energetic and will do really good work for us if we continue to navigate the recruitment, the transfer portal and the time in advance.”

Most recently, Wrice Wide Recevers trained and served as College recruitment connection at the Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He was part of the three class A State Championship Teams (2020, 2022, 2023) and helped the development and mentor of more than 30 athletes who played collegially.

WRECE played collegially in the state of North Dakota and was a broad recipient in Bison teams who won the Football Championship Subdivision National Current in 2013 and 2014.

After the 2024 season, Beisner returns to South Dakota State as Director of Football Operations in the US state of Sam Houston. Previously, he worked as a deputy director of football operations and recruitment at SDSU during the national championship season of the Jackrabbits in 2022 and 2023.

“This role is so important to have someone with experience who understands the university and how the program works,” said Jackson. “Ethan was a child's play for me; he will do a great job to organize everything and take care of everything that is not football.”

In his role, Beisner team trips and meals will coordinate, support recruitment on campus and manage other daily business activities of the Jackrabbit football program.

Beisner played a similar role in Central Missouri from 2017 to 22 and began in 2014 as a deputy football coach at Southwest Baptist University in college athletics before adding support roles. He received both a bachelor's degree in social sciences as well as a master in sports management from Southwest Baptist.

The state of South Dakota began on Tuesday with spring practice and plans to hold its annual spring game on April 12th. The 2025 season opener is planned for Sacramento State for August 30th.
