Athletics of Florida State University

Charlottesville, Virginia. A 3-point jumper by Andrew Rhode with 58 seconds, the remaining Virginia brought the lead and gave the Cavaliers a 60-57 victory over the State Florida in John Paul Jones Arena. The Cavaliers surpassed the Seminols in the final at 2:06 with a 6-2 lead to win the victory at home.

The State Florida is now 16-14 in total and 7-12 in the ACC game. Virginia is now a total of 15-15 and 8-11 in the ACC game.

Jamir Watkins continued its double rating and led the seminols with 18 points. He made two 3-point shots and has now made at least one shot from the 3-point line in 20 consecutive games-a series that began on December 14th against Tulane. Watkins has now scored in two figures in nine games in a row and in 25 of his last 26 games. He also pulled eight rebounds at team height.

It was a back and forth fight between the seminols and the Cavaliers in a game in which 15 lead and four bonds were enlarged.

It was also a collision of styles and pace from the start.

The defense of the Seminols disabled the cavaliers in the first half when they kept Virginia on two longer dwellers that made it possible Florida to play the game with a 2827 lead.

Virginia started the second half with a 12: 3 run and took her greatest tour of the 41-33 at 14:41.

Newcomer Alier Maluk Received his second start in a row for the seminols and experienced an impressive performance. He tied with a top scorer with a career best of eight points. He was four out of five from the field.

Christian Nitu Played the best game of his first season when he scored eight points and was perfect for four in the color. He also earned three rebounds.

Newcomer Daquan Davis Had one of his most impressive defensive performance because he had a career high of four blocks. Its total was also the high of the game for both the seminols and for the cavaliers.

Florida State returns home in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on Saturday, March 8th at 4:00 p.m. to achieve the regular season against SMU. This game will serve as a senior day and Leonard Hamilton Day.
