In Trump's plan for America

Washington, DC:

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday on Tuesday that his government was looking for permanent income tax cuts for all Americans who were difficult to hit by inflation. He also confirmed his promise to end tax on overtime, tips and social security.

“I am not asking for any tax on tips, no tax on overtime and no tax on social security benefits for our great seniors,” he said during his joint speech on the congress.

The President asked the Democrats to vote for these proposed changes, and said: “I am sure that they will vote for these tax cuts … otherwise I don't think people will ever vote them in office.”

“But I know that this group will vote for the tax reductions,” he added, pointing to the group's republicans on loud cheers from the group.

Donald Trump has applied for the consent of the congress for a massive invoice that would extend the tax reliefs that he secured in the White House during his first term. The measures expired later this year.

During his presidential campaign, Trump had obliged to support laws to eliminate taxes at overtime, and said that there is “more incentive to work”.

“There is much easier for companies to get people,” he said in September last year at a campaign rally in Tucson, Arizona.

The plan to rule out work tips from federal taxes was first presented by Trump in June 2024. At that time he said he had the idea of a waiter in his hotel in Las Vegas.

“For these hotel employees and people who receive tips, they will be very happy, because when I come to the office, we will not raise taxes on tips, people who give tips … We will do so immediately in the office,” Trump said.

So far, no further details have been officially announced on the plan, including the question of whether the tips would only be freed from income taxes or wage tax.
