Mark Dantonio to join College Football Playoff Committee

The former coach of the US state Michigan, Mark Dantonio, was one of five new members yesterday who was appointed to College Football Playoff Committee.

Other new members who join Dantonio are Maryland sports director Damon Evans, the sports director of Middle Tennessee, Chris Massaro, the former Mississippi player Wesley Walls, and the writer Ivan Maisel. Each new member will serve a three -year term.

Another former writer, Steve Weiberg, will stay in the committee and serve the last year of his term.

Other returning members are Miami, the sports director David Sayler, the sports director of Virginia, Carla Williams, the sports director of Arkansas, Hunter Yuracheck, the former sports director of Nevada, Chris Ault, the former state of Oregon and the former coach of the state of Nebraska, and the former player of Arizona, Randall McDaniel.

Baylor Athletic Director Mack Rhoades was promoted to chairman of the committee and replaced Michigan Ad Warde Manuel.

I don't know if the world could have handled it, but maybe it is a shame that Dantonio has not worked in Manuel's committee. That could have been fascinating. Imagine: “It's not over, we're starting.”

However, congratulations on Dantonio and let us see whether he can help to understand all of this in the next few years.
