Young Republicans cheer Trump from Texas Watch Party

It is the first night of the Rodeo in Houston, Texas – Usually a non -assignable event in the city.

But gathered in an Irish pub in the city's suburbs, a group of young Republicans who do not want to miss President Donald Trump Prime time address for congress.

About a dozen members of the party stacked in the back room of the pub, while Fox News has been used up to the surrounding television screens.

People have carried red, white and blue with flag pens and scarves for access.

Before the talk started, the members of the club told me how excited they were to hear Trump's political suggestions.

If they had to give him a grade on the first 44 days in office, it was a unanimous “A+”.

“He has already exceeded all expectations,” said one person.

When the president went to the podium, the group stopped, but not laughing and laughing.

The 26-year-old Evan Howard, Evan Howard, wore a baseball cap from Trump-Vance, raised every time the president said something. And that was a lot.

“He will act against the crime and handle cartels hard. He will stop a lot of American bloodshed,” he said.

But Evan admitted that 44 days in the constitution of the benefits of President Trump were not in office. At least not yet, and he is happy to wait.

“I'm not much better off to be honest, but I like what he is doing,” said Evan. “I see the work that is being done and I understand that some of these changes he conducts will not go through immediately and that we will see their effects in the future.”

Brittany was the Brittany, which was far less expressive during the entire event than the rest of the table. A 31-year-old black Woman, she is new to the Republican Party.

“I think he did it great. I thought it was a very uniform message,” she said. “He pointed out many things that the Democrats with which I used to really feel connected.”

“[The Democrats] For certain things that do not really apply to Americans. The Americans fight. They have problems with crime, they have people who lose their home, they have homeless people. And the liberals want to talk about pronouns. “

The mentions of pronouns, gender and “wokeress” brought a lot of cheers on Tuesday evening and clap from the crowd.

The boos came every time the cameras Nancy Pelosi or Democrats gave the signs in the crowd, or to a legislator that looks sleepy in the crowd.

The only feedback for President Trump tonight? Maybe you talk a little less about Joe Biden.

But otherwise the farewell message from this group is: promise and promise.
