Video: Bring Bruckner a new bloom

When an admission of symphonies No. 1 to 9 – the entirety of Anton Bruckner's Symphonic Cycle – was published on December 22nd by NCPA classics, it was a groundbreaking performance, not only for the China NcPa Orchestra and conductor Lyu Jia, but for cf.

In this ambitious project, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Center for Performing Arts became an exceptional interpretation of the huge musical work of the Austrian composer. The recording was published on the 17th anniversary of the NCPA and also fell together with the 200th anniversary of Bruckner's birth.

This complete cycle, the highlight of Lyus for decades of trip with the China NcPa Orchestra, was also the first time that a Chinese symphony orchestra had recorded all nine symphonies under a single conductor.
