play

The investigation of the death of the legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa has occurred in the second week.

Hackman and Arakawa were found dead by security officers in Santa Fe in New Mexico, New Mexico, next to their dog. When Hollywood shared the condolences and the memories of the Oscar winner, disturbing details appeared that dealt with the couple's death.

According to an affidavit of the search command, the authorities found the actor in a mud room near his stick and rails, while his wife Arakawa was found in an open bathroom near space heating and an open prescription bottle and pills were scattered on the nearby worktop. A representative observed Arakawa with “body killing, blooming in her face” and mummification of her hands and feet.

One of the couple's German shepherds was also found dead from Arakawa in a closet, while two more dogs were found alive in the bathroom near Arakawa and outside. The authorities have described the circumstances as “suspicious”.

When exactly one party died, there is a mystery. While the Santa Fe Fe Sheriff department collapsed a timeline, the couple's privacy could represent a roadblock, say officials.

“One of the things is in an investigation that we try to put together a timeline,” Sheriff Adan Mendoza told the “Today” show and revealed in a press conference that Hackman's Pacemaker recorded the last event on February 17, more than a week before the discovery of his body.

Carbon monoxide in the gene Hackman death excluded

In a press conference on Friday, Mendoza confirmed that carbon monoxide poisoning had been excluded as a potential cause of death for the couple.

Mendoza said to “Today” that her office normally takes place from the time of the “event” and goes forward, but that the investigators are planning to work “backwards” in the case of Hackman and tries to crystallize a story about how it is “very private” people in their house.

Gene Hackman, Ms. Returned home in Santa Fe in later years

In his last years, Hackman withdrew from Hollywood and found consolation in anonymity that Santa Fe made available. He and Arakawa joined a rich artist community and anchored themselves in the fabric of the city.

Her home, a love work for the couple, mixed in the southwestern and Spanish style and offered a break and artistic inspiration during the last chapter.

“He is a global superstar and part of the local community of Santa Fe. He is a terrible villain and a really decent person,” the mayor of Santa Fe, Alan Webber, told USA Today. “I think that … the reaction to his death is so strong because it connects these different limits across these different limits, and not everyone can do that.”
