Florida Baseball stumbles again with the blowout loss at UCF

The No. 7 Florida Gators fought against Miami against Miami on Sunday and fought again with 13: 3 against UCF against the UCF. The knights (9-3) took control early and never looked back to take over their second defeat in a row in a row.

UCF strikes first answers Florida

Florida (11-2) began with promise in the top of the first when the Leadoff-Hitter Hayden sinked Yost, but Ucf quickly extinguished the swing by inducing a double game and a fly to the end of the inn.

The knights wasted no time to get on the board. After a one-out double, the Knights crushed a Homer with two runs in front of Florida starter Matthew Jenkins and gave UCF an early 2-0 lead.

The Gators answered in the second inning. Brody Donay performed with a single one and later as second. After a walk to Landon Stripling, Luke Heyman and Blake Cyr delivered successive RBI singles to connect the game with 2-2. However, UCF turned another double game to end the inning, which prevents Florida from taking the lead.

UCF withdraws

The knights recaptured the lead in fourth. Luke McNeillie came in to relieve Jenkins after a one-out triple. The knights added an RBI single to regain a 3-2 lead.

The catastrophe for the gators in the fifth. McNeillie hit a blow and allowed a Homer with three runs that spread the leadership of UCF to 6: 2. Florida's offense remained calm, runs and struggled to put pressure on the knight's bullpen.

UCF put the game away in the sixth inning by taking advantage of Florida's pitching fights. Nikko Janssens allowed four runs and Christian Rodriguez followed him on the hill to give up two more runs, the 10-2 Putucf.

The gator's offensive never found its rhythm and only recorded one goal between the sixth and eighth inner sings. In the meantime, UCF continued to stack by adding three other runs in eighth place to extend the lead to 13: 2.

Brendan Lawson provided one of the lonely bright spots for Florida by starting a solo homerun in the ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth in ninth inning.

Pitching suffering continues

Jenkins (3.1 IP, 3R, 2 Series, 4K) took the loss, while McNeillie, Janssens, Rodriguez and Blaine Rowland had to struggle with relief. The staff of the Gator allowed 13 runs with 13 goals, went four and hit three batteries.
