1 dead, 1 injured when shooting in Carrollwood Park

A man was killed and a second man wounded in a Carrollwood park on Tuesday, said MPs.

Around 7:25 p.m., the deputies answered a call about shots that were fired in the plantation in the plantation in the Plantation Park near the Park Crest. According to the Hillsborough County's sheriff, they found two men who had been shot.

Both men were taken to a local hospital. The 19 -year -old Brian Jones died of his wounds. The other man was in a stable state, said MPs. The Sheriff's office has not published its name.

Detective learned that a fight broke out during a basketball game, which led to the shootings, deputy boss Joseph Maurer said on a press conference in the park on Tuesday evening.

The deputies worked to determine what was leading to the fight and identified and localized a suspect at the shootout, said Maurer.
