Tornado Watch exhibited for Wednesday –

The National Weather Service has published a Tornado watch for the Wednesday afternoon for Bladen County and the surrounding area.

The clock is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday and also includes the counties Brunswick, Columbus, New Hannover, Pender and Robeson in the southeast of North Carolina.

A tornado clock means that tornados are possible in and near the watch area. A tornado warning means that a Radar tornado has been sighted or given and the risk of life and property is direct.

Wedding advice will be in force from Wednesday to 7 p.m., the wind is between 20 and 25 miles per hour and gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are expected. The wind speed could be more than 60 miles per hour during thunderstorms. Reflection quantities between 1/2 and 3/4 inches are possible.

Gusty winds blow around unsecured objects. Tree members could be blown down and some power failures could be attributed.

The Bladen County Schools announced on Tuesday afternoon that the schools are closed for students on Wednesday because the potential for storms.
