Gene Hackmans House had “no significant” gas or carbon monoxide leaks – the Beat 92.5

Officials from the gas company have reported that “no significant” gas or carbon monoxide leaks were found in the house of the late Hackman.

The French connection actor was found dead on February 26, alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa and one of her dogs in her property in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Hackman was 95 and Arakawa 65.

Despite no obvious signs of foul games, the police officers decided that the deaths were “suspicious enough to request a thorough search and examination”.

On Tuesday, representatives of the sheriff Sante Fe County released an update of inspectors of the New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC), in which they confirmed that they did not find a big gas leak at the couple's apartment.

“The New Mexico Gas Company confirmed that in the early evening of February 26, 2025, it carried out a comprehensive examination for gas leaks and carbon monoxide in the house of Gene Hackman,” they said in an explanation. “There were no significant results.”

The investigator of the gas company reported a “tiny” gas leak on one of the oven burners and registered 0.33 percent in the air, but insisted that it was “no fatal amount”.

“The other four red tags were enforced for violations of the code – no gas leaks or carbon monoxide – on which a hot water and gas bread were installed in three fireplaces,” they added.

Last week, the sheriff reported Santa Fe County, Adan Mendoza, Hackman and Arakawa's corpses negatively for carbon monoxide poisoning and the pacemaker of the irreconcilable star on February 17th recorded his “last event”.

Toxicology and autopic speeches are still out of the question.
