Update: Two killed, two injured in targeted Severn shootings

The police of Anne Arundel County examined a double shootout in Severn, who injured two men and two more on Tuesday evening. The eye on Annapolis first reported that last night, but details were sparse. The police of Anne Arundel County provided an update.

The police of Anne Arundel County replied on March 4 in the 8100 Block of the Meade Village Road at 7:00 p.m. to reports on shots. Officers who arrived at the scene found two men who suffered from gunshot wounds. A victim who was identified as 23-year-old Derrick Purcell Ahmad McDonald von Severn was declared dead at the crime scene. The second victim, 28-year-old Mack Samuel Galloway III of Glen Burnie, was brought to the Medical Center of the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington, where he later died.

A third victim, a 26-year-old man, suffered a non-life-threatening injury when the police believe that it is a metal fragment caused by the fir fire. He was brought to the Cowley Shock Trauma Center at Maryland University.

The police later stopped a vehicle near Pioneer Drive and Jacobs Road, assuming that he was connected to the incident. The passenger, who suffers from an apparent firing wound, was brought to the Bay View Hospital with no life -threatening injuries, while the driver was unharmed.

Murder detectives have taken over the investigation, collected evidence and questioned witnesses. While the motif continues to be examined, the police believe that the shootout was more specific than random.

This is the second and third murder of 2025 in Anne Arundel County.
