Man who was arrested for 2019 in Westport theft examination

Westport, Conn. (Wfsb) – A man from Massachusetts was arrested in 2019 after an examination of the Westport theft.

According to the Westport Police Department, the official began to investigate a complaint about a theft of a locker in the YMCA in the Allen Raymond Lane in September 2019.

The complaint said that the person had locked up their valuables in the facility, but when they came back, the locker was wide open and the valuables were gone.

The report also said that the person had seen that his credit cards were used immediately after theft in Norwalk.

After a thorough investigation, the officials identified the alleged suspect as a 57-year-old Edward Capasso from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, with the help of surveillance cameras and the parts of law enforcement authorities.

The police said they issued an arrest warrant on March 4 of this year, and Capasso then gave the authorities.

He is now facing the following:

He has a court bond of $ 15,000 and is expected to be released on April 4 at the Stamford Superior Court.
