The Sioux City University organizes the first criminal judicial conference and the career fair

Sioux City (Kiv) – A department at a Siouxland College says that it is enthusiastic to organize an upcoming career fair for conference for the first time.

In the first year, the Department of Social Sciences at Morningside University will organize the annual criminal justice and career fair. The event will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Yockey Family Room, which is located in the Olsen Student Center.

The event is free and open to students, faculties and the public.

According to the university, the event is intended to bring awareness, education and cooperation between the community together and at the same time offer presentations of experts for criminal justice. They also say that the career fair should promote meaningful connections between interested guests and those in this area.

Dr. Jack Phan, Associate Professor of the University, says it is important to raise awareness through education.

“Consciousness through education gives community knowledge and understanding in order to recognize important social problems,” said Phan.

According to the University of Morningide, the conference will also talk about urgent topics such as fentanyl, human trafficking and sexual assault in order to raise awareness, create opportunities and to combine future managers in this area with experts.

Criminal justice and law enforcement authorities who want to recruit students at the career fair will be asked to RSVP by Friday, March 14th. At RSVP, the participants are asked to send the name of their agency so that a table is to be reserved.
